Nathan Benderson Park, North America's premier 2,000 meter spring course and regatta center will be completed in 2014.
More than 1,500 olympic caliber athletes from more than 70 countries will converge on Sarasota in 2017 World Rowing Championship.
The International Federation of Rowing Association (FISA) officially selected Sarasota North Benderson Park at the site of the 2017 World Rowing Championship.
North Benderson Park will include:
up to 10 race lanes, a coaching lane, a wave attenuation system also used as a TV lane, a multi-function boathouse and athlete training center, starting huts and fisnishing towers, a spectator-viewing area including a grandstand, and a 5K track around the venue.
